Each year nearly 100 lovely ladies vie for a position on the prestigious Reno Rodeo Flag Team.  This year, 55 were selected to carry the sponsor flags for the rodeo.  Of these 55, 16 riders earned coveted positions on the Reno Rodeo Flag Girl Drill Team.  The girls on the Drill Team open the rodeo each night by performing a precision drill to music.

The Flag Girl Drill Team also competes in Western States Equestrian Drill Team competitions.  They captured 1st Place in 2005, 2006 &2007 at the Western States Drill competition during Reno Rodeo in the Mixed Division.   They have represented Reno Rodeo at the Western States Equestrian Drill Team Championship in Santa Rosa, California where they were judged Champion Mixed Division Drill Team three years in a row - 2005, 2006 and 2007.

They ride year round and are ambassadors for Reno Rodeo throughout the year at events like the Fernley 4th of July Parade, where they captured first place two years, the Sharon Camarillo Barrel Racing Classic, Alzheimer’s Walk and Truckee Rodeo.
