Display your Reno Rodeo Spirit by participating in the 2007 Spirit of the West Business Decorating & Dress Up Contest.

Please read the entire rules and judging criteria prior to entering the contest.

1. Complete the 2007 Reno Rodeo Business Decorating and Dress Up Contest Entry Form. Return the entry form by June 1st by faxing it to: 775-856-5801 or e-mail the requested information to: Linda Reed

2. The Contest is designed to demonstrate community spirit through creative endeavor, encourage a team effort, and foster healthy competition.

3. Be creative, but do not breach company rules or regulations. Any entry appearing to break city, county, state or federal laws will be immediately disqualified from the contest.

4. Contest judging will occur one week prior to the commencement of the Reno Rodeo. You will be notified prior to your scheduled date/time of judging.

5. Contest judging will occur for only those entries physically located in Reno or Sparks, Nevada.

6. Prizes are subject to change but may include: tickets and parking passes to the Rodeo, “behind the scenes” passes, framed rodeo art, wall plaque, and/or a spot in the Reno Rodeo Parade. Due to limited availability, it is at the discretion of Reno Rodeo representatives as to the number of tickets distributed as well as the dates the tickets may be redeemed.

7. Contest winners will be announced Monday, June 11, 2007.

Judges’ Criteria

Evaluation Statement:
For each decorating category, a panel of judges will evaluate each entry based on the following criteria with up to 10 points in each for a possible 50 points total.

Use of Theme
The best use of the official Reno Rodeo 2007 theme: “Rodeo with a whole new twist. A little of the old with a little of the new”.

Creativity
The unique and artistic use of color, texture, dimension, imagery, Reno Rodeo and western paraphernalia, etc.

Community Spirit
The display of excitement, pride, and unity exhibited in the decorations and among the employees of the theme.

Good Use of Budget
The use of donated and personal items.

Collaboration
The demonstration of a team effort and cooperation.
