2009 Miss Reno Rodeo Contestants Ann Clemmitt As long as Ann Clemmitt can remember, she has been on the back of a horse. She spent as much time at the barn as possible and showed in 4-H and local circuit shows. She is now a junior at the University of Nevada, Reno and shows IHSA with the UNR Equestrian Team. Ann is also the treasurer for the Equestrian Team, a fitting job for her because she is majoring in Business with a minor in Agriculture. In the future she plans to open her own ranch and breed horses. In addition to a full school schedule, Ann works at US Airways and enjoys using her travel benefits as much as possible. When she’s not traveling or in school, she enjoys team penning and sorting and has ridden on the prestigious Reno Rodeo Flag Team for the past several years. She also enjoys skiing, and scuba diving in her spare time, but most of all, volunteering. Ann would be honored to serve as queen for the Wildest, Richest, Rodeo in the West!
Andi Lynch From the time I was a little girl, I dreamed of becoming Miss Reno Rodeo. As I am now older, I truly understand the honor and responsibility that comes with this title. As I am entering my sophomore year at UNR, academic success means a great deal to me. I am currently pursuing my degree in Nursing, and plan to become a first assist surgical nurse. I believe that as a nurse, I will find the greatest possible satisfaction in a career by touching the lives of others. In my free time I enjoy riding, camping, and other outdoor activities with my family and friends. I have participated on the Reno Rodeo Flag Team for three years, and enjoy team penning and sorting. I challenge myself to accomplish all of the tasks I set before myself, and winning this title would prove to be an exceptional accomplishment. I would be greatly honored to hold this title, and represent our city as Miss Reno Rodeo!
Carrie Sattler Hello! My name is Carrie Sattler. I am the proud daughter of Jay and Hollie Sattler. I am a native Nevadan, and enjoy skiing, hunting, and rodeo. I feel blessed to call Reno home. I appreciate the four seasons, and the unpredictable weather, Reno is so famous for. That crazy weather is what keeps all my favorite activities coming and going! I have a passion for Political and Social Sciences and am currently working on a degree at the University of Nevada Reno. My future aspiration is to become a strong and inspirational leader. When I am not out enjoying my hobbies I can be found working full time at a prominent local ski and patio shop where I have helped to develop an internet sales site. I enjoy working hard, playing hard, and never losing sight of my goals. Reno Rodeo is an extension of these ideals. My passion for hard work and quality pastime has led me to my aspirations, to represent my community, as Miss Reno Rodeo 2008/2009.
Emily Woodside Emily Colleen Woodside is the youngest daughter of 4 children of Fred and Kathy Woodside. After graduating from Carson High School Emily moved to Florida where she attended the St. Pete Aveda Institute and graduated at the top of her class. It is her ambition to pursue a business degree and one day own her own salon. She has spent her life living on ranches raising and training all kinds of animals, especially horses. She enjoys skiing, camping, fishing, trail riding, college football, baseball, ultimate Frisbee, roller blading, and skydiving. When she was 14, she joined the Flag Team, and upon her return to Reno again became a member. The excitement, the noise, and the speed are a few things she loves most about rodeo and the flag team. Being involved in the Reno Rodeo is a family affair, not only is her whole family involved, but she considers the membership part of her extended family. She would be proud to wear the crown and represent the WILDEST RICHEST RODEO IN THE WEST.
