If you would like to confirm that your request form has been received by the deadline or if you have a problem meeting the deadline for media credentials, please call the Director of Communications, Steve Schroeder, at 775-825-2665. The members and volunteers of the Reno Rodeo would like to welcome those of you in the working press. Thank you for your continuing interest and coverage of our event. Your news stories, images and overall coverage have helped our event maintain credibility in the public's eye as well as maintain the status of the Reno Rodeo as the "Wildest, Richest Rodeo in the West". The Reno Rodeo is one of the largest events in the Reno/Sparks/Lake Tahoe area and draws people from our local community as well as other states and countries. PRCA Media Guidelines: Media Access for freelance photographers and/or freelance journalists without editorial assignment will not be granted. You must have a verifiable editorial assignment from a recognized media outlet to attend as per PRCA Media Guidelines. Reno Rodeo reserves the right to grant or refuse media access. The office will be available to all working press professionals in the media that have been approved to attend. Daily check-in will begin at 3:00 PM and close at 7 PM. Media parking is available with a Media Parking Pass. Designated media parking is located directly in front of Gate #9 and is on a first come-first served basis. Thank you to the working media for covering the Reno Rodeo. The Media Office will provide: -Refreshments -An air-conditioned place to take a break or work -A computer with Internet connection and a printer -A closed-circuit television broadcasting same images as video boards in the arena so you can cover the rodeo from the media office if you wish without missing any of the action -Internet connection - Secure WI-FI -Day Sheets -Event information and overview -Scores -Daily news tips and story ideas -Reno Rodeo Hot Sheets -Reno Rodeo history -National rodeo information -PRCA information and overview -Sponsor information
**Please Note: Submitting a completed media credentials request form does not guarantee your media credentials. You will be contacted prior to event with confirmation of your credentials request.
Once approved you will be notified in writing and a media parking pass will be included. Media parking pass also grants access through the entry gate. There is no charge for entry and parking for approved working media.
Thursday Night June 17 Rodeo - PRCA Xtreme Bulls All PRCA Reno Rodeo performances begin at 7 pm. PRCA Reno Rodeo Championship Finals Round Saturday NIGHT, June 26 @ 7 PM Slack is a great opportunity to interview contestants not seen in evening performances. Slack consists of timed competition of Barrell Racing, Steer Wrestling, Tie Down roping and Team Roping. Slack times TBA (Outdoor Rodeo Arena) Womens Barrel Racing Slack begins Friday, June 18 @ 7 am. PRCA Timed Event Slack begins Sunday, June 20 @ and continues until all entries have completed 2 go rounds. All rodeo performances are night performances. Arena Lighting has been upgraded as per TV specifications (~100 candlefoot power).
