Welcome Reno Rodeo Contestants

"THANK YOU for making this Rodeo the WILDEST, RICHEST, RODEO IN THE WEST"

To arrive at the Rodeo grounds:

From US 395 take Exit # 69 at Oddie Blvd. Go West on Oddie Blvd to Sutro. Turn Left heading South on Sutro to Gate #4. Enter Gate #4 at the North end of the grounds.

From I-80 take Exit #14 at Wells Avenue and proceed North. Follow the curve around to the light at Sutro. Turn right going South on Sutro to gate #4. Enter Gate #4 at the North end of the grounds.

For the best Rodeo experience EVER:
Please keep your trailer connected to your truck at all times.

All vehicles must be removed from the Rodeo grounds by 11:30 p.m. to prevent them from being towed.

No overnight horse trailer parking or dropping of trailers on the Rodeo grounds is allowed.
Horses are to be dropped off at the stalls.
All trailers are to be kept off site.

Please ask our volunteers for information on local vets, mechanics, feed stores, grocery stores, restaurants or any other need.

CONTESTANT parking passes will be issued at Gate 4 when horses are dropped off for easy entry and exit of the grounds during the rodeo.

2008 Cowboy Camp Map and Directions

Cowboy Camp Location- Camping and trailer dropping allowed:
From Rodeo grounds to Pembroke Drive Lot:

Directions- Go south on Sutro past the river and turn left (east) on East 2nd Street (turns to Glendale after Kietzke). Follow this to Rock Blvd and turn right (south) then follow this to McCarran. Cross McCarran and you are now on Pembroke. Travel on Pembroke about 1/2 mile to the entrance to Rose Wood Golf Course (on your right). Cowboy Camp will be on your left.

Drive:    6.4 mi – about 19 mins

1.Head south on Sutro St toward Trainer Way

2.Continue on Kirman Ave

3.Turn left at Mill St

Trailer Parking Locations
Rodeo Contestant Trailer Parking:
Holiday Inn- Trailer drop and over night trailer parking available.
Directions- Travel South on Sutro Street to Sixth Street. The hotel is located on the South West Corner of this intersection.
Grand Sierra Resort- Trailer drop and overnight trailer parking available.
Directions- Travel South on Sutro Street to Second Street. Turn Left on Second Street. Travel East on Second Street (turns into Glendale), go under Freeway to first traffic light beyond freeway. Turn Right (south) into the Grand Sierra Parking Lot. Trailer parking is available in the North Eastern lot (on your left) as you approach the hotel.

BFI and RRITR Parking Locations:
UNR parking lot across from the Reno Livestock Event Center.
Directions- Trucks with trailers headed North Bound on Wells Avenue should turn left onto Sadlier Way and then follow the signs and volunteers into the parking. If you are registered for BFI & Reno Rodeo you may continue on Wells Avenue to Sutro and enter the grounds at Gate 4. If you are not registered for Reno Rodeo, you are welcome to drive into Gate 4 to the East Parking Lot to unload your horses, gear and partner and then exit the lot to park at UNR. Golf carts will be driving back and forth from UNR to the Livestock Event Center to assist you in returning to the Event Center for the Roping.
Salvation Army Parking Lot.
Directions-   Turn North on Sutro street from the intersection of Sutro and Oddie. Turn left into the lot on the Northwestern corner of Oddie and Sutro.

In addition, our overflow parking for these events is in the public parking lot of the Reno Livestock Event Center. If you are parked in the public parking you must remove your vehicle and trailer by 5:00 p.m.

RRITR additional Trailer Parking Location-
Directions- Trainer Middle School-From the intersection of Sutro and Oddie travel East on Oddie to Montello. Turn Right (south) onto Montello and travel to Carville. Turn Left (east) on Carville and travel to Barstow. Turn Right (south) on Barstow and the school gate will be on the Right. Park on the grass field.

Unfortunately, nothing can remain on the Livestock Events Center grounds, Salvation Army lot, Trainer Middle School or UNR overnight.
